Multi-Factor Authentication for Microsoft Office 365
Setting up multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Microsoft Office 365 account. Multi-factor Authentication makes it more difficult for someone else to sign in with just a stolen password.
Start by going to office.com or opening an installed Office application. Sign into Microsoft Office 365 with your email address and password.

After signing in, you will see this prompt, click the Next button.

You will be asked to set up (2) of the available authentication methods below:

-
Phone
Text me a code or call me.
-
Email
Alternate email address, enter an email address other than your work email address.
Once you have set up your authentication methods, you will be asked to verify your identify via one of these methods every 90 days.
